Pup Has a Pig Ear.

A memory. Adult Ares thinks: “My first alien encounter…”

When I was a pup… David places a large dried pig’s ear on the floor in front of puppy Ares: “Got you a treat, mate.”

A strange discovery. Ares crouches to inspect it: “What is this? It’s very strange!”

First contact. Ares jumps back: “Is it an alien?!”

Sound the alarm. Ares barks and jumps around the stationary treat: “Must yell at it!” “WOOF! WOOF!”

A little encouragement. David explains: “It’s a pig’s ear, mate. You can eat it.”

Claiming the prize. Ares finally picks up the pig’s ear in his mouth.

Victory. Ares trots away with his prize while David smiles behind him. Ares thinks: “My alien now.”
